Saar: A closer look reveals specs of the low profile tyres among other details.

Audi is at it again. After teasing the next-gen Audi A1 only a couple of days ago, the German carmaker has now posted another video on its official Facebook page. Some might say that since it has a duration of a whole second, it qualifies more an animated photograph (GIF) rather than being an outright video. Whatever it is, here you go:

As individual as you – fit your all new #Audi #A1with rims, roof and spoilers in different colors. #TheNewAudiA1 #EpicModeOn

As you can see, the main focus in on the fancy wheels that the new Audi A1 will be offered with. The red brake callipers, hidden behind the very Ford-like (images given below) alloy wheels, gives us a hint that newest entry-level Audi will be available a host of customisation options. The other thing that pops up once you zoom in is the specifications of the tyre – 215/40 R18. With those sporty aspects on the outside, we believe that this could very well be from the ‘S’ guise (RS or S1).

Other noticeable aspects in the GIF include a section of the headlamps, which, in all probability, get full LED treatment. Additionally, the outer sills for the doors seem to have a black extension. Are those a pair of sporty, colour contrasting side skirts, further fuelling our speculation of it being one of the racy variants?

Based on the frequency of teasers coming, Audi, it seems, doesn’t want to wait too long before revealing the entire car to the world. The previous teaser pointed us lot towards Barcelona. Put the observations together and we believe that the event in Spain isn’t too far away. Other than that, the next Audi event is something that the whole automotive world will be looking forward to. That, my friends, is the Audi Summit in Brussels, which will take place on August 30, 2018. That’s when we’ll see the production-spec of the Audi e-tron – the first pure-electric car to wear those famous four-rings.
