Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has introduced something called a Premium Assurance Program. Available exclusively for Elantra and Tucson customers, it further enhances the peace-of-mind factor. How? The program offers an array of services which, in the long run, will only positively improve the ownership experience.

Under the program, Elantra and Tucson customers can get the flexibility of Hyundai’s Wonder Warranty package. That means there’s a choice of three standard warranty packages and customers can choose any of them – 3 years/unlimited kilometres, 4 years/60,000km or 5 years/50,000km. Apart from that, customers also get a three-year membership for roadside assistance and Blue Link subscription.

Anything else? Yes. Hyundai has also devised a maintenance package. It ensures that owners don’t have to pay anything for any consumables and labour charges. That’s for three years or a mileage of 30,000km, whichever comes earlier. The program also offers three Map Care updates for both models. Hyundai has also taken the initiative to align a person, designated as a Premium Care Manager, to pay a visit within fifteen days of vehicle delivery. The idea is to help explain the features of the car and answer any questions a customer might have.

An obvious question would be how much will customers have to pay to avail the Premium Assurance Program. Nothing. The add-on is free of cost. That makes the whole deal quite attractive. Hyundai’s been quite active since India started to loosen the grip on the strict lockdown slowly. For instance, it introduced the Wonder Warranty for the Kona Electric and launched the ‘Hyundai Mobility Membership’. Other activities included bagging an order to supply 100 units of Kona Electric to EESL, commencing the second phase of ‘Hyundai Care’ CSR initiative and launch the Venue Sport along with clutchless manual technology.
