The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift gets new features like LED DRLs, LED-powered projector headlamps and fog-lamps, LED elements in the taillamps, cruise control, Speed Alert System and Seat Belt Reminder for both the front passengers. The variants with the automatic transmission get electronic stability program (ESC) and hill hold assist. The instrument cluster now features a coloured multi-information display (MID) and the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The only noticeable omission, which can hurt the sales of the Ciaz facelift, is the sunroof.

On the design front, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift gets a sleeker grille at the front, reprofiled headlamps and taillamps, and tweaked front and rear bumpers. The dimensions, including the capacities of the fuel tank and the boot, remain identical. Inside the cabin, a bunch of faux wood inserts here and there complete the styling makeover.

With the Ciaz facelift, Maruti Suzuki has also brought in a new 1.5-litre petrol engine that replaces the old 1.4-litre mill. Like the diesel engine, the new petrol motor comes mated to a mild-hybrid tech SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki). That means although the bigger engine produces 13PS/8Nm more than the 1.4-litre engine, it is still more fuel-efficient. With 105PS/138Nm on tap, the petrol engine can return a mileage up to 21.56kmpl with the manual transmission and up to 20.28kmpl with the automatic. On the diesel front, there are no changes to report, neither in the power department nor in mileage.
