We are pretty sure that every car lover who looks at the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder will say – that is a stunning looking thing. Some might even go the extra mile and claim that it might just be the best-looking Lamborghini of all time. No matter what you say or think, the simple matter of the fact is this – for car lovers, the Lamborghini Evo Spyder is pure filth! It should be quadruple X-rated and come with a warning sticker about how super-excitable onlookers may end up feeling embarrassed in front of a crowd. It is that good-looking!

Anyway, we should probably get a move on before… you know! The main highlight of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder is its ability to expand the headroom from a few centimetres to unlimited light-years. Literally! Not impressed? Here’s how the dry version goes! At the touch of a button, the electrohydraulic soft top can be placed back or folded away in just 17 seconds. And you can flaunt that procedure on the move, at speeds of up to 50kmph.

Many would guess that the colour of the convertible baby bull here is a shade of green. But Lamborghini calls it Verde Selvans. If you don’t like the colour or want some personalisation options, the mad Italians will offer more than you can fathom. The Huracan Evo Spyder comes with 20-inch Aesir rims, and they are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.

The rest of the recipe remains pretty much the same as the hard-top Huracan Evo. The 5.2-litre, naturally-aspirated V10 pumps out 640PS/600Nm and the oomph is transferred to the all-wheel-drive system via a 7-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the standard Huracan Evo, the Huracan Evo Spyder is heavier and hence a bit slower to reach 100kmph – 3.1 seconds (0.2 seconds slower) – and 200kmph – 9.3 seconds (0.3 seconds slower) – from a standstill. Lamborghini claims that the convertible’s top speed is 325kmph and that it can come to a halt from 100kmph in just 32.2 metres.

Lamborghini wasted little time to launch the Huracan Evo in India. In fact, it was launched just after a month of its global premiere. Expect the Italians to do the same with this bewitching Huracan Evo Spyder. Excluding taxes, it is priced at 181,781 GBP (approximately Rs 1.71 crore). By the time it lands on our shores, the asking price should be nudging the Rs 4 crore mark. People heading to the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show will be the first to see the soft-top baby bull in the flesh.
