After unveiling the Huracan Evo to the world in January this year, Lamborghini has wasted almost no time at all to launch it in India. The mid-life update of the baby bull wears a price tag of Rs 3.73 crore (ex-showroom India), which is more than what we had expected last month. But a few lakhs more for those who can actually afford to buy one of these will not really be a problem!

So, what do we have here? In a nutshell, the refreshed Huracan brings better aerodynamics, updated interiors and more power and tech. The naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 now puts out 640PS/600Nm, which means it has the same oomph on tap as the Huracan Performante. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission which routes the power to the wheels via an updated all-wheel-drive system. Lamborghini claims that the Huracan Evo can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 2.9 seconds, reach 200kmph in 9 seconds and go past 325kmph at full stretch.

To contain and make the oomph enjoyable rather than terrifying, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo features rear-wheel-steering and a four-wheel torque vectoring system. The active suspension has also been tweaked and it now boasts faster adaptable dampers. Another important upgrade is how the all-wheel-drive system can channel all the available power to even a single wheel. That should help the baby Lambo deliver a better driving experience.

As far as the design goes, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo features a new front bumper with a splitter which features an active wing to improve the airflow. Move over to the sides and refreshed Huracan flaunts new 20-inch alloy wheels and restyled air intakes. The rear of the two-seater supercar gets a dual-exhaust setup (just like the one on the Performante) and an angrier bumper.

Lamborghini has also taken the time out to further liven-up the interiors. The biggest addition is the 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system which controls everything from automatic climate control to pairing a smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The system also understands multi-finger gestures and features voice recognition. Lamborghini will also throw in a dual-camera telemetry system if you are ready to pay an additional fee. The options list also includes carbon composites and styling packs among several other upgrades.

It is astonishing to see how Lamborghini always finds a way to strike the perfect balance between beauty and aggression. The Huracan Evo competes with the likes of the Aston Martin Vantage, Ferrari 488 GTB, Porsche 911 and the Audi R8 V10.
