Saar: The idea is to reach a car’s breakdown venue at the earliest and perform the required repairs.

In a bid to extend its after-sales service into another dimension, Maruti Suzuki has launched an initiative called ‘Quick Response Team on Bikes’ (QRT). As the name suggests, the customer-centric service has been designed to reach a car’s breakdown venue at the earliest and perform the required repairs. At the time of launch, the Swift-maker has a fleet of 350 bikes in over 251 cities in India. The company has claimed that by the year 2020, the fleet will be expanded to cover 500 cities across the length and breadth of the country.

Maruti Suzuki claims that the technicians which are part of the QRT have been specially trained to carry out 90 per cent of the problems faced by customers on-road. As soon as a customer registers a breakdown problem through Maruti Care App or by dialling in the Maruti on-road Service numbers, technicians on a bike equipped with essential tools will be assigned at the earliest. They will be prepared with tools such as battery jump starter, tyre inflator, toolbox etc. And like you can track your food on a mobile app, you will be able to track where and how long will the assigned technician(s) will take to reach your location.

Maruti Suzuki’s QRT on bikes is an addition to over 415 Maruti Suzuki on-road Service vehicles spread across the country. Customers can take advantage of the new QRT service on a complimentary basis if they enrolled for extended warranty packages offered on Maruti Suzuki cars. If not, they can opt for the new service on a per-call basis with visiting charges ranging between Rs 420 and Rs 575. The visiting charging, Maruti Suzuki said, will depend on the location of the customer’s vehicle.
