Mahindra is also offering changed the options of the colours available. Two news ones – Mystic Copper and Highway Red – have replaced Molten Orange and Dynamo Red. Inside the cabin, the beige and black theme is accompanied by faux leather upholstery. Also, the option of a rear-view camera is now available.

Under the bonnet, the Mahindra TUV300 facelift comes with a BSIV-compliant, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine which is good for 100PS/240Nm. The only transmission option available is a 5-speed manual. Earlier, the option of an AMT (automated manual transmission) was part of the portfolio. The TUV300 is the only SUV in its segment that rides on a ladder-on-frame chassis and has a 7-seat layout. Those features make it the heaviest of the lot.

So, there you have it. If you want the brawniest SUV in the sub-4 metre segment, this is the one. Other options in the same class include the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V, Tata Nexon and the upcoming Hyundai Venue.
