Hyundai Creta Facelift: Variants Explained

As you can see, the CVT variants are just over Rs 1 lakh dearer than their respective manual counterparts. Apart from the transmission, there are no other changes to report. Mechanically, it remains identical too. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque. What will change though are the mileage and kerb weight figures and we will have to wait for Hyundai to release them officially.

Dealers confirmed that both variants are available on a made-to-order basis only. The minimum booking amount for the car is Rs 25,000 and once that’s put in, expect the dealer to get it for you in about 20 days time.

Hyundai To Hike Prices By Up To 2 Per Cent From June 2018

With the CVT included in the Elite i20, Hyundai is hoping to garner sales numbers from customers who would have otherwise gone for either the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CVT or the Honda Jazz CVT. Listed below are the prices for the CVT-equipped variants of the Hyundai Elite i20 rivals.

Price-List For Hyundai Elite i20 Rivals (CVT only) - Ex-showroom Delhi

ModelEngine / VariantPrice
Maruti Suzuki Baleno1.2-litre Petrol / Delta CVTRs 7.10 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki Baleno1.2-litre Petrol / Zeta CVTRs 7.70 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki Baleno1.2-litre Petrol / Alpha CVTRs 8.41 Lakh
Honda Jazz1.2-litre Petrol / S CVTRs 7.71 Lakh
Honda Jazz1.2-litre Petrol / V CVTRs 8.47 Lakh

As you might have noticed, the CVT variants of the Hyundai Elite i20 are less expensive than those of the rival products. Whether this price difference and the fact that the Elite i20 has better overall quality help Hyundai or not, only time will tell. But if you had to put your money down on one of these, which one would it be?
