Liked what you saw in the teaser? If yes, you can now reserve the Maruti Suzuki XL6 with a minimum token amount of Rs 11,000. The same can be done either online or by visiting the nearest Nexa dealership. The company has also revealed that the XL6 will be available in two trim levels – Zeta and Alpha. Additionally, the six-seater MPV is on offer in six colours – Metallic Premium Silver, Metallic Magma Grey, Prime-Auburn Red, Pearl Brave Khaki, Pearl Arctic White and, obviously, the Nexa Blue.

Over to the variants. A total of four will be available, two each in Zeta and Alpha trims. The only engine option will be the 1.5-litre petrol engine that powers the Ertiga with 103hp/138Nm. In both trims, the engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. As far as dimensions are concerned, the XL6 will have the same wheelbase as the model (Ertiga) it is based on but will be a bit longer, wider and taller.

As you’d expect, the standard list of features will be quite extensive considering the line-up will start at Zeta level. So, everything from a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alloy wheels and automatic climate control to electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, height-adjustable driver’s seat and push-button start-stop will be available. The Alpha-marked variants will rope-in features like auto headlamps (LED) and wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, rear-view camera, cruise control and leather seats.

With the XL6, Maruti Suzuki wants to deliver a “premium MPV” experience. In essence, it wants to eat into space where the Mahindra Marazzo currently sits.
