Saar: A total of 50 units of the all-electric hatchback will be available on the self-drive platform.

Mahindra Electric and Zoomcar, the company that offers self-driven cars on rent, have expanded their tie-up further. Mahindra Electric will offer 50 units of the e2oPlus to Zoomcar, which will be added to the self-driven fleet in Pune, Maharashtra. Zoomcar will offer the all-electric hatchback for self-drive as well as ZAP Subscribe.

Everyone is aware of what self-drive is. You can book any car from the available fleet by paying a certain amount, which varies based on the number of days/hours you need the vehicle for. But what is ZAP Subscribe? Essentially, it is an EMI scheme. So, you can get a personal e2oPlus without the hassles of down payment, service or insurance by paying Rs 9,999 per month.

Upon expanding the partnership with Zoomcar, Mahesh Babu, CEO, Mahindra Electric, said:

“Today, we are proud to extend our association and introduce our EVs on Zoomcar’s shared mobility platform in Pune. This initiative comes as one of the first steps after the announcement of Maharashtra’s EV (electric vehicle) policy and we are positive that it will contribute to the state’s mission of rapid adoption of EVs.”

Present at the flagging-off ceremony, Greg Moran, co-founder and CEO, Zoomcar, added:

“We’re thrilled to once again partner with Mahindra Electric to bring innovative, green mobility solutions to the people up Pune. First through our PEDL cycle service and now with our electric vehicle launch, Pune continues to demonstrate strong leadership in supporting innovative first and last mile urban mobility solutions.”
