Did you know that Renault’s celebrating its 10th anniversary in India this year? Congratulations, Renault! The occasion calls for a treat, right? Well, those looking to buy a new car are definitely in for one. First of all, there’s an updated range of the Renault Kwid. Yes, it seems pretty much the same as before. But, there’s more to it, which isn’t quite apparent. Before getting to those hidden, but critical changes, acquaint yourself with the new price list:

The entry-level STD derivative has been axed. That alone has bumped up the starting price point for Renault’s least-expensive offering. Coming straight to the unanswered question, the updated Kwid is much safer than before. All variants now come with dual airbags as standard. Those who aren’t aware, that safety feature has been mandated by the Government of India for all cars sold from January 2022. So, bravo to Renault for meeting that rule much before the deadline. Besides that, the Kwid also packs a pretensioner with the driver’s seatbelt. Those additions help raise the safety quotient further.

The Kwid, which remains mechanically unaltered, has also gained a new dual-tone finish – white with a black roof. In addition, Renault has equipped the hatchback with more creature comforts, such as day & night IRVM and electric ORVMs. Pretty neat, huh!

In truth, Renault’s celebrations started last month with the introduction of a new Kiger variant.

Celebration offers

Of course! How can a celebration run without offers? So, those planning to purchase a Renault on or before September 30, 2021, can benefit from offers worth up to Rs 80,000. That said, they are available on select variants of all Renault cars.

For existing customers, Renault has devised 10 unique loyalty rewards. Depending on the model, one can bag loyalty benefits worth up to Rs 1.1 lakh. And get this, those rewards are over and above the regular consumer offers. Then, for customers in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa, the French carmaker has special offers from September 1 to September 10, 2021. They’ve been devised to celebrate the upcoming festival of Ganesh Chathurthi.

And, let’s not forget, the ‘Buy Now, Pay in 2022’ scheme is still active on Kwid, Triber and Kiger. It enables the buyer to take the car now and start paying EMIs after six months.
