Saar: The concept vehicle will make its world premiere at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.

In case you don’t know what Skoda has in store for us at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, you should definitely take a look at the sketches that were revealed last week. This time around Skoda has released a sketch for the interior of the Vision RS Concept. Before we get to the details, take a look at the video that shows how it all came together:

Inspiring, isn’t it?! The Vision RS Concept will house a carbon-rich interior. Some of the panels which are finished in carbon fibre include the centre console, the skeleton of the sports seats and the bespoke loops that replace the old-school door handles. What’s more, the sporty character has been accentuated by the use of hand-cut lead glass inserts and special RS-design animations on the dashboard. One of the most intriguing design elements is that the lighting effects that, Skoda claims, interact with the centrally-mounted touchscreen infotainment system. We sure are excited as to find out what kind of interactions will those be.

The Skoda Vision RS Concept is just about showcasing what the future of RS models holds. The concept vehicle is also considerate towards the environment. For instance, the carbon fibre used is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester. Even the seat covers are made from vegan Alcantara. What remains to be seen, however, is how much of this effort is carried forward to the future, production-spec RS models.

The 2018 Paris Motor Show will open its gates on October 4, 2018. That means there is still time for Skoda to keep on releasing more teasers every week until the D-Day arrives. It is worth noting that the along with the Vision RS Concept, Skoda will also be unwrapping the Kodiaq RS at the same event. The said vehicle has claimed the title of becoming the fastest seven-seater SUV to go around the Nürburgring. We just hope that Skoda brings it to our shores as well. Fingers crossed!
