Saar: To get the blood gushing through the veins of all the car nutters globally, the Czech carmaker has released a couple of striking-looking sketches.

This year’s Paris Motor Show will become the platform for Skoda Auto to showcase a concept car with an RS badge. Dubbed simply as the Skoda Vision RS, it is destined to give a taste of what future RS models from the Czech carmaker will look like. To get the blood gushing through the veins of all the car nutters around the globe, Skoda Auto has just released a couple of striking-looking sketches of the Vision RS Concept.

As a rule, we shouldn’t be taking the drawings too seriously. But Skoda has taken the liberty to share the dimensions of the upcoming concept. It is 4,356mm long, 1,810mm wide, 1,431mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,650mm. Now, don’t go comparing those specs with the current-gen Fabia (not on sale in India). Instead, match those figures with the Skoda Karoq. Bear with us! The Skoda Vision RS Concept 26mm shorter, 31mm narrower and a massive 174mm lower. But, the wheelbase of the Paris-bound model is 12mm longer than the long-wheelbase version compact SUV. Sure, it isn’t fair to compare a low-slung hatchback to an SUV but we wanted to highlight how even a small looking car can have a longer wheelbase. And as we know, a longer wheelbase mostly translates to a bigger cabin.

As far as the design is concerned, the aggressive creases all-round the car complements Skoda’s RS stature. The slim headlamp enclosures are accompanied by the iconic Skoda grille and a sporty front bumper. At the rear, the sketch shows a spoiler that blends neatly to the sloping roofline, the angry-looking taillamps and a bumper that houses a prominent diffuser. Another design aspect worth noting is that the sketch is of a five-door car.

Skoda Kodiaq RS Teased With Two Low-Light Pictures

Skoda hasn’t shared any other information about the Vision RS Concept. However, the company could introduce, for the first time, an electrified powertrain in its RS-marked model. Accompanying the concept vehicle in the French capital will be the Skoda Kodiaq RS which has claimed the title of being the fastest seven-seater SUV around the Nürburgring. The 2018 Paris Motor Show will open its gates on October 4, 2018. Up until then, expect Skoda to release more such teasers for the Vision RS Concept.
