Say hello to the refreshed Renault Duster! Prices start at Rs 8 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As expected, the Duster facelift gets several cosmetic changes inside and out, in addition to a couple of more features. Apart from that, the AWD system is now available with the diesel-fed RXS trim and not in the range-topping RXZ trim. Here’s the complete, ex-showroom Delhi price list:

Petrol
  • RXE – Rs 8 lakh
  • RXS – Rs 9.20 lakh
  • RXS (O) CVT – Rs 10 lakh
Diesel
  • RXE (85PS) – Rs 9.30 lakh
  • RXS (85PS) – Rs 10 lakh
  • RXS (110PS) – Rs 11.20 lakh
  • RXZ (110PS) – Rs 12.10 lakh
  • RXS (110PS) AWD – Rs 12.50 lakh
  • RXZ (110PS) AMT – Rs 12.50 lakh

In terms of design, the overall silhouette remains identical, and so do the dimensions. However, it gets new front and rear bumpers, a Kwid-like chrome-draped grille, reprofiled headlamp enclosures with LED DRLs and projector units, a more muscular (sculpted) bonnet, new dual-tone alloy wheels and plastic cladding on the tailgate. Inside the cabin, the Duster facelift gets a new multifunction steering wheel, restyled AC vents and metallic accents on dashboard and door trim. And, you can now have the Duster in a new shade of Blue.

Mechanically, the Duster facelift carries the 106PS/142Nm, 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is available in two states of tune – 85PS/200Nm and 110PS/245PS. The petrol can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. However, the more powerful version of the diesel is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. As for the lower-spec diesel, the only transmission option available is a 5-speed manual. The Duster is still only BSIV-compliant.

Over to the features. The Duster received a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system earlier this year. The unit supports smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Apart from that, the Duster facelift packs features like a rear-view camera, cruise control, rear parking sensors, rear defogger, wiper and washer, automatic climate control, roof rails, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, ABS with EBD and dual airbags.

The Duster is priced to take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue and the Ford EcoSport. However, size-wise it falls in the segment of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Kia Seltos.
