Saar: You can reserve either one of the models with a minimum token amount of Rs 11,000.

It’s official! Datsun will launch the refreshed Go and Go+ models in India on October 9, 2018. Both were launched in Indonesia earlier this year. The Japanese brand has also started accepting bookings for the duo at a minimum token amount of Rs 11,000. You can reserve either of them by visiting any of the authorised Datsun dealerships across the country. The company has also said that deliveries of both the models will commence on the next day of their launch.

The refreshed Go and Go+ models will be available in a total of five trims. The Go and Go+ will also be offered in two new additional colours – Amber Orange and Sunstone Brown – respectively. On the looks front, both models will boast new front and rear bumpers, vertical LED DRLs, tweaked front grille and 14-inch alloy wheels on range-topping variants.

Inside the cabin, the refreshed Go and its mini-estate version, the Go+, will have a new dashboard layout to accommodate a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The mid-life update of the Datsun Go is set to become the least expensive offering in India which houses such a feature-rich infotainment system. Other changes will include a new instrument cluster, a proper glovebox and the hand-brake lever between the front two seats. If all that is a bit poor for you, get this – the refreshed models will also get power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags and a rear window wiper.

Mechanically, the refreshed Go and Go+ models will remain identical to their respective outgoing iterations. Both will be powered by the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 68PS of power and 104Nm of torque. It will only be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission, with a possibility of an AMT coming in at a later stage.

With more gadgets on-board, the refreshed models will demand a premium over and above their outgoing versions. That premium could very well fall in the range of Rs 25-30,000. The outgoing Go and Go+ models, which will surely have some great discount deals going on at the moment, currently fall in the price range of Rs 3.38 – 4.41 lakh and Rs 3.95 – 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
