Isuzu Motors India has introduced the D-Max V-Cross in a refreshed avatar. As before, it is available in two trim levels – standard and Z. While the former is priced at Rs 15.51 lakh, the latter wears a price tag of Rs 17.03 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Although the revamped model has a number of new features, it is priced exactly the same as before. That equation, Isuzu says, will stay for a limited period only.

So, what’s new? Well, it can be had in two new shades of paint – Sapphire Blue and Silky Pearl White. Those two colours are in addition to other options – Ruby Red, Titanium Silver, Obsidian Grey, Cosmic Black and Splash White. The refreshed D-Max V-Cross also features a new front grille, flanked by Bi-LED headlamps. Other changes include a new front bumper, round fog lamps with chrome bezels, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, new shark-fin antenna, newly designed side-step, all-black B-pillar and a chrome-draped rear bumper.

Inside the cabin, the pick-up now flaunts an all-black theme on both trim levels and newly contoured seats. The Z trim takes the game a notch higher with perforated leather seats, a dual-cockpit design, a 3D electroluminescent meter with gear shift indicator in the instrument cluster, piano-black garnish and a USB charging port for the second row. The D-Max V-Cross facelift also gets push-button start/stop, seat-belt reminder for co-driver, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, seatbelt with pretensioner & load limiter, and speed-sensitive auto door lock.

Mechanically, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift isn’t any different to the model it replaces. Under the bonnet is a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel engine which is good for 136PS/320Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual unit which, as per the low-range gearbox settings, can send power to all four wheels.

Isuzu has commenced accepting bookings for the D-Max V-Cross facelift through all its authorised dealerships in India. Let us know what you think of the pick-up in the comments section below.
