To further bolster its position in the SUV space, Tata Motors has launched Kaziranga Editions of the Punch, Nexon, Harrier and Safari. The brand says that the new variants are “inspired by India’s rich geographical and biological diversity while also paying homage to India’s great national parks”. For the record, the word Kaziranga has been taken from the Kaziranga National Park. That’s located in the north-eastern state of Assam and is known for the Great Indian one-horned rhinoceros.

Before getting to the details of these special edition versions, let’s look at the price list:

All four SUVs share a specific set of design cues. These include the Grassland Beige body paint coupled with a black roof, Earthy Beige leatherette upholstery, Tropical wood dashboard, and a few Earth Beige-coloured accents. Also, there are embossed outlined torsos of two rhinoceroses facing each other on the front headrests (even the second row in Safari) and a new Satin Black rhino mascot on the front fender.

Now, over to the model-specific design cues. The Punch Kaziranga Edition features piano black door trim and humanity line on the front grille, Earthy Beige tri-arrow accents on the dashboard mid-pad, Granite Black roof rails and jet black 16-inch alloys.

Next up – the Nexon Kaziranga Edition. It packs ventilated front seats, an air-purifier and an auto-dimming IRVM. Apart from those feature additions, the sub-compact SUV boasts dual-tone Earthy Beige leatherette upholstery, piano black door trims and front humanity line, Tropical wood finish on the dashboard mid-pad, Granite Black body claddings and roof rails and jet black 16-inch alloy wheels.

Like the Nexon, the Harrier Kaziranga Edition gets ventilated front seats and an air purifier. In addition, Tata has also updated the iRA connected-car tech with additional features, and there’s wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Harrier also packs the same interior embellishments as the Nexon alongside a Granite Black front grille and jet black 17-inch alloy wheels.

Lastly, the Safari Kaziranga Edition. That has dual-tone Earthy Beige leatherette seats and door trims, Tropical wood finish on the dashboard mid-pad, Granite Black body claddings, front grille and roof rails, and 18-inch jet black alloys.

As you’d expect, there are no mechanical changes to report. And besides the Safari’s, Kaziranga Editions of all others claim the range-topping spot. So, how do you like them?
