After opening a new dealership in Goa last month, Ford India has now inaugurated two in Delhi-NCR. One goes by the name Adiv Ford and is located at B-1/A-11, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, Mathura Road, New Delhi. The other is named Shree Pawan Ford and located at D-247/2, Sector-63, NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh. With the new facilities up and running, Ford now has a total of 28 sales and service touchpoints across Delhi-NCR.

Both new dealerships are integrated facilities. Adiv Ford has a showroom area of over 5,000 sq. ft. and a service area spanning 25,000 sq. ft. It houses 10 mechanical and 14 body shop bays. As for Shree Pawan Ford, It has 9,108 sq. ft. of showroom area and 55,000 sq. ft. of service area. The larger facility has 10 mechanical and as many body shot bays in-house. Both new dealerships are 3S facilities, catering to sales, service and spare part requirements.

Here’s what Vinay Rana, who is the executive director of marketing, sales and service at Ford India, said about this development:

Introduction of these new facilities demonstrates Ford’s commitment towards delivering a differentiated and seamless brand and ownership experience to customers in the National Capital Region.

Ford has induced a practice called ‘Sub Assembly Levels for Repairs’ to bring ownership costs down. As those string of words suggests, authorised Ford workshops will break open auto parts into their sub-components. So, instead of replacing the whole piece, the engineer would rectify or replace the malfunctioning sub-component.

Ford presently sells five models in India – Figo, Aspire, Freestyle, EcoSport and Endeavour. Besides strengthening its network across the country, the carmaker will also introduce new models. One of the most anticipated is an SUV that will compete with the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. Apart from that, expect Ford to bring back the Mustang in an updated avatar.

A car nutter by heart. A hopeless engineer by education. Gunning for one goal - simplify cars.
