Saar: Browse. Choose. Configure. Pay. Track. Done.

Are you the kind who just can’t be bothered or doesn’t have the time to visit a BMW dealership to buy a car? Good news! BMW India has launched an online sales channel via which you can browse all models from the comfort of your home or office, or even while travelling, configure any and order it. The online shopping channel will ask for a preferred dealership and you can even book a test drive via the same portal. Here’s how you can do all this:

  • Log on to shop.bmw.in and register
  • Select the model
  • Choose the preferred configuration
  • Check whether the configuration is in stock
  • Select the preferred dealership and outlet for purchase
  • Chat and receive personalised support regarding the product, quotation, EMI options
  • Request for a test drive
  • Pay booking amount to confirm the purchase
  • Check real-time status
  • Make the remainder payment online or offline and get updates from the selected dealer about the delivery of the vehicle and other formalities

In an official release, Vikram Pawah, who is the chairman of BMW Group India, said:

“Digitalisation will be a key differentiator in our industry and will become an increasingly important retail channel in the future. BMW is pioneering the futuristic path of automotive retail in India that will go beyond physical boundaries and appeal to fans in the digital world. We are the first luxury automotive manufacturer in India to offer an end-to-end digital sales solution for the entire product range. With this, our customers will have greater independence and flexibility in choosing the purchase process. BMW Group has always been a customer-centric brand and today, a new milestone is being added to BMW India’s fascinating story.”

Like almost every online shopping portal these days, the BMW India online sales channel will be available 24×7. The minimum booking amount, which is also refundable, is Rs 2 lakh. For those who book an X5 online, BMW will give away benefits worth Rs 1 lakh. This offer, however, is for a limited stock only.
