The launch of the Audi e-tron just around the corner. To be precise, prices will be revealed on July 22, 2021. Audi has already confirmed the list of variants, the choice of powertrains and the two body styles the EV will arrive in. And earlier this week, the brand also announced the range of ownership plans for e-tron buyers. As for the bookings, they officially opened last month.

Today, the German brand has revealed how it will thank early-bird buyers of the e-tron. Besides that, it has also confirmed that it wants to help accelerate EV adoption in India. So, let’s first understand what all benefits early buyers of the e-tron will get. All those customers who buy any of the three variants will not get one but two chargers – the standard 11kW AC charger with the car and a wall box charger. The latter can be affixed at home or the office. The freebie will account for a considerable amount.

That’s not all! The same set of buyers will also get complimentary charging at all Audi dealerships across India. They will be equipped with 50kW fast DC charging in a phased manner. However, that offer is valid only until the end of the year. In other words, it doesn’t matter whether you take delivery next month or in December. The free charging at the dealership will only be available until December 31, 2021.

How will customers find the nearest compatible charger? Using the ‘Chargers near me’ section in the ‘myAudi Connect’ app. This is where the second part of today’s announcement comes in. To help quicken EV adoption and strengthen the charging network, the ‘Chargers near me’ section will be open to all EV owners in the country. Also, Audi dealerships will extend charging services to EVs from other brands as well. That facility, however, will be available on a chargeable basis.

It seems Audi has a strong game plan in place. And it is destined to benefit more than just its own customers. The e-tron, which comes with charging points on both sides, will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace.
