For obvious reasons, leaving the comfort and security of your home and stepping out is not that easy now. And, that includes getting in your car and just going for a drive. Till we get a sure-shot cure or vaccine for the infamous virus, things will remain weird. Well, Hyundai Motor India thinks so too. That’s why it is running something called a Hyundai Hygiene Drive. The nationwide campaign started a couple of days ago and will run until the end of the month.

So, what is the carmaker offering? There are a few offers, but the main ones hover around vehicle sanitation. Customers can opt for complete interior smoke sanitisation packages, which start at Rs 599. If you don’t want a smoky treatment, Hyundai is also offering surface sanitisation for a car’s interior. Those services start at Rs 999. You can even avail a dry wash for your vehicle’s exterior at Rs 340.

Apart from washing/sanitisation jobs, Hyundai customers can also avail a free 50-point health check-up for their vehicles. That’s always good, especially with India’s unpredictable monsoon season. And, in case you’re thinking about changing the car for a new one, the carmaker is running offers.

Earlier this month, the South Korean carmaker revealed the prices of Tucson facelift. The SUV became the first Hyundai model to get a full-fledged digital launch. Later this month, the company will introduce a new transmission technology for the Venue. Dubbed as iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission), it is unlike anything we’ve ever seen in the Indian market. The clutchless system will come coupled to the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. That means the same technology will soon find space in the Verna and Grand i10 Nios as well.
