Mercedes-Benz India will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It kickstarted this year’s proceedings with the launch of the V-Class MPV. Now, it has strengthened its roots in South India by inaugurating its 27th service facility in Kochi. The said establishment, which is spread across 6,285 square feet, was revamped with an investment of Rs 2.4 crore.

The refurbished service facility is the second of its kind in Kochi, fifth for Rajasree Motors and eighth for Mercedes-Benz in Kerala. There are 6 service bays including an AMG and a premier express bay. The said facility will be run by a 54-member team and apart from serving customers from Kochi, it will also cater to those from nearby areas.

Not only will the newly revamped service facility feature authentic Mercedes-Benz merchandise for customers to purchase but also enhance the convenience factor for them with Digital Service Drive elements. Obviously, the layout and design of the premises will be on par with Mercedes-Benz standards. That means, apart from featuring a comfy customer lounge, Rajasree Motors’ second facility in the coastal city of Kochi will also cocoon visitors with ambient lighting and wooden flooring.

With this service centre up and running, Mercedes-Benz India now has 93 outlets across 47 cities in India. Those numbers collectively reinstate the fact that Mercedes-Benz is the largest luxury carmaker in India. Even in terms of annual sales, for which the Indian arm of the German carmaker racked up 15,000 plus again last year, Mercedes-Benz India is ahead of its rivals from Europe and Japan.

In 2019, Mercedes-Benz will continue to introduce new variants for some existing models and launch new ones. The latter category will include models like the new CLA, B-Class and the GLE. While we will also see some action in the Mercedes’ AMG portfolio, the company could also be tempted to introduce the purely electric EQC on our shores.
