In the past three months, almost all carmakers in India have adopted the online car buying concept. The convenience factor, which would have been the primary selling point for booking or purchasing a car online, became secondary due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Customers who weren’t comfortable leaving the safety of their homes, but had to buy a vehicle resorted to the digital playground. And the ‘Click To Buy’ platform came in handy for Hyundai.

As per the company, the online car buying facility went live in March 2020. Since then, Hyundai has bagged over 1,900 bookings from it. Furthermore, it has clocked more than 20,000 registrations and as many enquiries to date. As for the count of visitors, that goes beyond the 1.5 million. What started as an online car booking platform, has now transformed into an end-to-end car buying facility with Hyundai incorporating financing options in the mix.

In addition to that, the South Korean carmaker has joined forces with two of the biggest private banks in India – HDFC and ICICI. Both financial institutions offer such services that a customer who is buying a Hyundai via the ‘Click To Buy’ platform doesn’t need to visit a bank physically for any approval of the loan. All-in-all, quite a comprehensive solution in these weird times.

Ever since India has started to come out of the strict lockdown, Hyundai has been quite busy. Last month, we saw the launch of the Elantra diesel. A couple of days later, Hyundai’s Venue surpassed the 100,000 sales mark. The same model will soon receive Hyundai’s new technology called iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission). Also, expect the Hyundai Tucson facelift to receive a price list this month. The SUV officially broke cover back in February 2020 during the biennial event Auto Expo.
