In India, the world of aftermarket products and services is vast. And, everyone wants to have a piece of it. Confirming that fact is the latest development from Groupe PSA. The French automobile group, which is gunning to start selling Citroën cars in India, has announced the launch of Eurorepar range of aftermarket products. To take things forward, PCA India, the local entity of Groupe PSA, has signed a sales and distribution agreement with an aftermarket player GoMechanic.

Under Eurorepar’s umbrella, Groupe PSA sells multi-brand parts and accessories for repair and maintenance of vehicles. The aftermarket brand is available across 100 countries worldwide. As per the automobile group, Eurorepar range “promises smart prices and quality products, regardless of the make and model of a vehicle.” The products cater to customers with three- or more-year old vehicles. Groupe PSA confirms that the very first product to be sold, both offline and online via GoMechanic parts distribution platforms, will be brake pads. All products will be available for both B2B and B2C customers.

Here’s what Roland Bouchara, who is the senior vice president of sales and marketing India at Group PSA, said about this development:

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 situation, we have retained the launch of multi-brand parts with Eurorepar in India and that makes it unique by way of being Groupe PSA’s first consumer facing business initiative launched before the first Citroën vehicle, the C5 Aircross SUV, which is on track for launch in Q1 2021.

PCA India will supply the Eurorepar range of products to GoMechanic, who will take the responsibility of distribution through its multiple platforms. As per the agreement, Groupe PSA will provide support in marketing, training and brand building in the country.

After introducing brake pads, Groupe PSA will expand the Eurorepar portfolio in India with products such as wiper blades, filters (air, oil & fuel), brake discs, coolant, grease and lubricants. The sales have already begun through GoMechanic workshops and retailers in fifteen major cities across the country.
