BluSmart Mobility, which only offers services in Delhi/NCR at the moment, turned one last month. If you don’t know what the company does – it is the only all-electric ride-hailing platform in India. It already has over 10,000 active users. The company has just introduced three new features to go along with its taxi services. They are – Blu Wallet, Hourly Rentals and Referrals.

Blu Wallet

You guessed it! It is a virtual wallet which customers can recharge using one of the various digital channels – credit and debit cards, net banking, digital wallets and UPI. The idea is to have a platform which paves the way for a quick and contactless payment option.

Hourly Rentals

As the name suggests, customers now get the flexibility to hire a cab on an hourly basis. Starting at Rs 199, the hourly rental options range from 1 hour/10km to 8 hours/80km. This option works especially well for those who have multiple stops to make with short stoppage times.

Referrals

This feature isn’t that straightforward to comprehend by just reading the word. Courtesy: our pre-defined notions about what a referral program does. BluSmart has taken a different route, and it is a noble one. For every referral it gets from an existing customer, BluSmart will plant a tree. So, instead of offering a cashback or a discount, the company will take a small step forward to help save the environment.

There’s no getting away from the fact that we all are living in weird times, surrounded by uncertainty. But, we have to keep moving to fight off the scary pandemic and, of course, to get things done. BluSmart has taken several measures to ensure that all customers get clean and hygienic trips. Some of them include checking body temperatures of drivers before giving them the next job, physically separators between the driver and the rider and asking drivers to open and close the door for customers.

Customers can also see information such as the last time of disinfection of cabs and driver’s temperature and wellness status. What’s more, each taxi has additional face masks for the riders to use.
