In terms of design, the new Honda Amaze is extremely different from its predecessor. That said, the design mantra still revolves around clever packaging. In terms of exterior dimensions, the new Honda Amaze is 5mm longer, 15mm wider and 4mm shorter. The standout bit is the wheelbase, which now stands at 2,470mm, up by 65mm. That translates to a more commodious cabin. The 170mm of ground clearance and 420-litres of boot space are up by 5mm and 20-litres respectively. In a nutshell, the new Honda Amaze is bigger and even after that, it is lighter than before.
The new Honda Amaze is also a much more feature-rich product than the first-gen model. On the outside, the new model gets goodies such as LED DRLs, reverse camera, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, 15-inch alloy wheels and rear parking sensors. Inside the cabin, the list of features continues with paddle-shifters (petrol only), cruise control, automatic climate control, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, push-button start/stop and a multi-function steering wheel.
As far as safety features are concerned, all variants are equipped with dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors. Other features that are standard across the range include all four power windows, front 12V socket, day/night IRVM and a 4.0-cm MID.
Given below are the figures for the engines, transmissions and mileage:

In its new avatar, the Honda Amaze does have a lot going for itself. It even comes with a standard warranty of 3 years/unlimited kilometres. The real question though – is it enough to dethrone the Maruti Suzuki Dzire? Do let us know in the comments section below.
