Saar: Available only with the manual transmission, the limited edition gets sporty cosmetic changes inside and out.

In a bid to start the festive celebrations earlier, the Japanese carmaker Datsun has launched the Redi-Go Limited Edition in India. It is available with 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options. While the former is priced at Rs 3.58 lakh, the latter wears a price tag of Rs 3.85 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Considering the price and the features that the Redi-Go Limited Edition gets, we believe that Datsun took the T(O) variant and garnished it with some cosmetic trickery.

For the extra money, the pocket-friendly hatchback gets roof wrap, body decals, front and rear bumper undercovers, red inserts on the front grille and the wheel caps. Inside the cabin, the obsession with the red-coloured accents continues with inserts on the steering wheel, AC vents and the piping of the floor mats. Even the seat upholstery has a dual-tone black and red theme. And that’s not all. The Redi-Go Limited Edition comes with rear parking sensors with distance display device, satin chrome gear bezel and chrome-draped interior door handles.

Here’s what Peter Clissold, vice president, marketing, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. had to say about this vehicle in a press release:

“This festive season, Datsun wants to make the celebration more special by delighting customers with the powerful and vibrant Redi-GO Limited Edition. The refreshing design along with power packed performance is a testimony of our commitment towards customers to offer progressive mobility solutions.”
