Saar: The Italian supercar maker has produced 8,000 and 11,000 units of the Aventador and Huracán respectively.

Production milestones for car manufacturers catering to the mass market run in millions. But that is not the case with manufacturers which produce only exotic supercars for the multi-millionaires of the world. One of the most sought-after brands which cater to the super-rich is Lamborghini, which currently produces three models – Aventador, Huracán and the Urus. The Italian supercar maker has achieved production milestones for two out of those three models. It has produced 8,000 units of the Aventador and 11,000 units of the Huracán.

The Aventador and the Huracán took just over seven and four years respectively to reach the above-mentioned production milestones. It is also worth noting that these production numbers include all the derivatives for both the models. While the 8,000th unit was an Aventador S Roadster finished in Grigio Telesto and was produced for a customer in Japan, the 11,000th Huracán was draped in Lamborghini’s Blue Nethuns colour and is meant for a customer in the company’s home country – Italy.

It won’t be long before Lamborghini announces a production milestone for the Urus SUV as well. In May this year, the company confirmed that the demand for Urus has been overwhelming from several countries across the globe, especially in Russia and India. It went on to mention that over 70 per cent of Lamborghini Urus buyers are new to the brand.

In terms of sales, Lamborghini has had a good first half this year. Compared to the first six months of last year, the worldwide deliveries for Lamborghini have jumped up by 11 per cent to 2,327 cars. The company also mentioned that the global sales of the Huracán model line with coupé and Spyder as well as the racer versions, which wear the Performante tag, have grown from 1,400 to 1,604 units. The Aventador, on the other hand, has grown in numbers too, with 673 units delivered this year.
