To broaden its reach and customer base, Volvo Cars India has opened a new dealership in Hyderabad. For the new touchpoint, the brand partnered with Krishna Exclusive Pvt. Ltd. (KEPL), the same group also operates Volvo Cars India dealerships in Chandigarh and Punjab regions. The Indian arm of the Swedish carmaker says that KEPL is one of the most awarded dealers in the country.
The showroom, which is spread over 7,000 sq. ft., is located at Banjara Hill Road No. 1. As for the workshop, that’s in the Kokutpalli area and occupies an area of 45,000 sq. ft. Both facilities are designed on Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept. It was Charles Frump, the current managing director at Volvo Cars India, who inaugurated the new dealership. And here’s what he had to add:
Hyderabad is a key market for us as it services a large affluent and aspirational customer base in the state. The new dealership re-enforces our strategy of expanding our network while staying committed to high-end service experience that meets the exacting demands of our customers. Krishna Exclusive is one of our most experienced dealers, and they bring with them to the Hyderabad market their award-winning customer service commitment. We are confident Krishna Exclusive Private Limited to be an outstanding partner for us.
Sumit Passi, who is the dealer principal at KEPL, added:
We are excited to become a partner in Volvo’s growth in the region. Located in the heart of Hyderabad, our showroom has the potential to attract a lot of customers. We are confident of giving impeccable services to them, considering our years of experience in the luxury car segment.
In the premium car space in India, Volvo is behind its rivals from Europe. That said, the Swedish brand now has over 20 dealerships across India. And that count will only go up. From March 1, 2021, Volvo Cars India will have a new managing director – Jyoti Malhotra. He will take over the responsibilities of Charles Frump, who has been assigned a new global role.
