Saar: The limited edition Nexon is available in two variants – Kraz and Kraz+.

As promised, Tata Motors has launched a limited edition Nexon to celebrate the first anniversary for the sub-4 metre SUV. Dubbed as the Nexon Kraz, it is priced from Rs 7.15 lakh to Rs 8.64 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The limited edition Nexon is available in two variants – Kraz and Kraz+ – and is offered with both petrol and diesel engines. Before we get to what’s special about this celebratory Nexon, let’s look at the price list:

Kraz+Rs 7.77 LakhRs 8.64 Lakh

The Kraz and the Kraz+ variants are based on the XM and the XT variants of the standard Nexon respectively. The pictures say a lot about what’s special about these new additions to the Nexon’s portfolio. On the outside, the limited edition Nexon comes with an all-new Tromso Black body colour with a sonic-silver dual-tone roof, neon-green coloured inserts on the front grille, wheels and the ORVM caps, and Kraz badging.

Inside the cabin, the obsession with neon-green accents continues with the stitching on the seats and the surrounds of the AC vents. Apart from the greenery, the interiors also boast piano black inserts on the steering wheel, door panels, dashboard and the centre console. And, to add that extra pinch of specialness, the centre console gets Kraz+ branding. It is worth noting that the branding on the centre console will only come with the Kraz+ variant. The rest of the difference between the kits remains identical to the difference between the standard XM and XT variants.

Mechanically, the Nexon Kraz is identical to the standard car. If you are going for the petrol-fed Nexon Kraz, you will get a 1.2-litre, turbocharged unit with 110PS/170Nm on tap. Diesel fans will have to make do with a 1.5-litre turbocharged mill that puts out 110PS/260Nm. Both engines will be offered only with the 6-speed manual transmission.
