Saar: The newly added body paint comes with either black or off-white roof and OVRM caps.
In a bid to add some more hotness to the Captur’s recipe, Renault India has silently added a new dual-tone paint option. The combination is called Radiant Red with Mystery Black roof. And you have to say, the Renault Captur looks stunning in that red-and-black combination. This new dual-tone treatment, however, is available in two trims levels only – Plantine and RXT.
The Renault Captur is available in a range of dual-tone paint options. See which one suits your personality:

In India, the Renault Captur has the widest range of dual-tone colour options. However, if that’s not your kind of thing, the car is also available with five single-tone colour options – Planet Grey, Moonlight Silver, Cayenne Orange, Mahogany Brown and Pearl White. The said colours are only available in the RXL and RXE variants of the Renault Captur.
We’ve always maintained that the Captur has brought a whiff of fresh air in the compact SUV segment. It isn’t as boxy as some of its direct competitors and has enough going for itself, such as 210mm of ground clearance and the widest body in the class, to be tagged as just a five-seater crossover.
The Renault Captur is available with two engine options – a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. While the former is tuned to pump out 106PS of power and 142Nm of torque, the latter has 110PS/240Nm on tap. As far as transmission options are concerned, the petrol and diesel engines come with one option each – 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual respectively. Renault claims that while the mileage figure for the petrol-powered capture tops out at 13.87kmpl, the diesel is more frugal at 20.37kmpl.
Prices for the Renault Captur start at Rs 9.99 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 13.25 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). It competes with a range of cars, such as the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, which was updated last month, Hyundai Creta and two of its close siblings – the Nissan Terrano and the Renault Duster.
