Saar: The duo gets their firepower from a twin-turbo, 4.0-litre V8 engine which, coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, has 460PS/620Nm on tap.

Porsche has revealed two new GTS models. In both, the three-character acronym is prefixed with the word Panamera. In simple terms, say hello to the Panamera GTS and the Panamera GTS Sport Turismo. Essentially, they are sporty iterations of the standard Panamera and the Sport Turismo.

So, what has Porsche done to create the new models? Both come with Porsche’s Sport Design package which brings a new black front end, black trim at the bottom of the rear, 20-inch alloy wheels, GTS branding on the front doors and black Panamera GTS marques at the rear end. Inside the cabin, you get a heated sports steering wheel with paddle shifters and the Connect Plus module for various digital services. The optional GTS package enables the buyer to induce further customisations in things like the upholstery and the rev counter.

On the features front, both Panamera GTS models come with the same kit as the second-gen Panamera range. This includes Porsche’s Advanced Cockpit (digital instrument cluster) and adaptive cruise control, which is part of Porsche’s InnoDrive package. The Panamera GTS also features a head-up display, a first in the entire Panamera range.

Powering the duo is a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out 460PS of power and 620Nm of torque. Compared to the predecessor, the new Panamera GTS has 20PS/100Nm more oomph on tap. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission which routes the power to the road via an all-wheel-drive system. Porsche claims that the 0-100kmph times for Panamera GTS and Panamera GTS Sport Turismo is the same – 4.1 seconds. However, the top speed figures for the duo are 291kmph and 289kmph respectively.

Both new iterations of the four-door sedan have also been listed on Porsche’s India website. However, there is no word on if or when they will go on sale here.
