The Indian arm of the Japanese carmaker Nissan has set up AC check-up camps across all its authorised dealerships. Slated to go on until May 31, 2019, the after-sales campaign will offer a range of offers to existing Nissan and Datsun customers. Apart from free check-up of the car’s AC and a top-wash, customers will also be offered a 20 per cent discount on labour charges and 10 per cent discount on genuine parts and accessories. The carmaker will also be giving away free gifts albeit with a few terms and conditions attached.

Here’s what Atul Aggarwal, who is the general manager of after-sales at Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd., said about the free AC check-up camp in an official statement:

Nissan always strives to offer exceptional sales and after sales experience to its customers. The objective of this camp is to proactively diagnose & recommend service requirement related to AC to our customers.

So, if you have a Nissan or Datsun vehicle and you want to ensure that its air conditioning system is ready to face the scorching heat ahead of us, now is the time to get it checked. And, of course, discounts on services is a welcome add-on.

Nissan recently updated the Sunny to make it safer for passengers and compliant with the new safety norms. As standard, the sedan’s safety kit now includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors and a speed warning alert system. In all probability, this update will be the last one for the Sunny as Nissan is unlikely to bring the next-gen model to India. Datsun, on the other hand, upped the safety quotient of the Redi-Go hatchback last month.
