Saar: The refreshed Hyundai Creta was launched on May 21, 2018.

Launched in 2015, the Hyundai Creta has been nothing short of a sensation for the company in the compact SUV market. It just annihilated the competition and has been the bestseller in its segment. On May 21, 2018, the Hyundai Creta facelift went on sale and since then has been racking-up records. The company says that in just 10 days of its launch, the Creta facelift has bagged over 14,000 bookings (14,366 to be precise) and has received over 70,000 enquiries.

Hyundai To Hike Prices By Up To 2 Per Cent From June 2018

If we put some math into the game, the Hyundai Creta facelift has clocked over 1,400 bookings and 7,000 enquiries per day. Small wonder that this refreshed iteration of Hyundai’s compact SUV has received such a welcome when the company has sold over 4 lakh units of the Creta worldwide.

Commenting on such a promising response from the market for the Creta facelift, Y K Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said:

“We would like to thank our customers for the overwhelming response and love to thenew 2018 Creta. As a modern premium brand, we have created a brilliant ownership experience of new 2018 Creta by introducing many first and best in segment features along with unmatched safety. The new 2018 Creta will create new benchmarks in the SUV segment.”

Hyundai Creta Facelift: Variants Explained

Although the Hyundai Creta facelift comes with the same set of engines as before, it has a lot more kit on offer. That kit mainly consists of a few segment-first features such as an electric sunroof, wireless mobile phone charger, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a smart key band. The Creta’s package is further boosted by a best-in-class 3 years/unlimited kilometres warranty and road side assistance.

In India, the Hyundai Creta competes with the likes of the Honda BR-V, Nissan Terrano and two Renault siblings – the Captur and the Duster. That said, range-topping variants of the Ford EcoSport and the entry-level variants of the Jeep Compass also fall in the same sort of price range as the Hyundai Creta facelift. Next year, Hyundai’s subsidiary, Kia Motors, will begin its Indian innings with an SUV falling the same segment. Kia is currently in the process of finalising a name for the SUV, which previewed at the 2018 Auto Expo as the SP Concept.
