Saar: They are called – City Edge Edition, WR-V Alive Edition and BR-V Style Edition.

Honda Cars India has introduced special editions of the City sedan, WR-V crossover and the BR-V SUV. They are called – City Edge Edition, WR-V Alive Edition and BR-V Style Edition respectively. The company says that these special editions have been introduced to mark the beginning of festive sales in the country. A bit too soon? Anyway, here’s what Rajesh Goel, senior vice president and director, marketing and sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), said in a press release:

“With the onset of festive season, we are extremely delighted to offer the special editions of Honda WR-V, Honda City and Honda BR-V. We are confident that these will be appreciated by our customers for the enhanced value they offer.”

How do these special editions bring more value to the table? Let’s find out.

Honda City Edge Edition

To conceive it, the company has taken the SV variant of the Honda City and garnished it with features like 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, rear view camera with a feed into the IRVM and a special edition tag. While the petrol-powered SV MT Edge carries a price tag of Rs 9.75 lakh, the diesel one is priced at Rs 11.10 lakh. What’s interesting here is that Honda isn’t charging a single rupee for the added kit. That means both those prices mentioned above are the same as the standard SV variants.

Honda WR-V Alive Edition

The WR-V has been a rather surprise success for the Japanese carmaker. Many industry pundits, including us, weren’t exactly bowled over when we first saw and drove it. But, it has been selling well for the company. So much so that for at least a couple of months, it even outsold the City. Anyway, to create the WR-V Alive Edition, Honda took the S variant and added goodies like “Alive” emblem, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear view camera with feed to IRVM, rear parking sensors, seat covers with special edition branding, premium steering cover and a subscription of Honda Connect with first month free.

Honda Amaze No Longer Available At Introductory Prices

HCIL has also taken the opportunity to add a new exterior colour option – Radiant Red Metallic – to the WR-V’s options list. The petrol- and diesel-fed WR-V Alive Editions are priced at Rs 8.025 lakh and Rs 9.11 lakh respectively. Compared to the standard S variants, the Alive Editions are Rs 23,500 dearer.

Honda BR-V Style Edition

Honda is desperate to sell the BR-V more and it is quite evident with the way the Style Edition has been created. All, except the base E variant, are available with the Style Edition trickery. Speaking of which, here’s the list of extra features that you will get with the BR-V Style Edition:

  • Special Edition emblem
  • Front guard
  • Tailgate spoiler
  • Body side moulding
  • Front and rear bumper protectors

And here’s the price-list of all the Style Edition variants:
