Saar: It is slated to launch on November 21, 2018, and will be offered in a total of 10 variants, covering two engine and transmission options each.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce the all-new Ertiga in India on November 21, 2018. That’s a week from now. Before the D-Day arrives, India’s largest carmaker wants to get the numbers rolling for the MPV. Hence, the Indo-Japanese firm has officially started accepting bookings for the new Ertiga with a minimum token amount of Rs 11,000. This can be done through any of the Maruti Suzuki Arena showrooms across India.

We got the taste of the all-new Ertiga when Suzuki revealed it in Indonesia earlier this year. However, Maruti Suzuki has now revealed a confirmed set of details about the upcoming MPV. First up, it will be offered in a total of 10 variants, covering two engine and transmission options each. The two engines in question include the same 1.5-litre petrol engine that debuted with the Ciaz facelift and the tried-and-tested 1.3-litre diesel engine from the outgoing model. Both engines will come with SHVS mild-hybrid technology and while the petrol motor will pump out 105PS/138Nm, the diesel is likely to produce the same oomph as before – 90PS/200Nm.

Both engines will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, the petrol motor will also get the option of a 4-speed automatic. As far as the variants list is concerned, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be sold in four trims – L, V, Z and Z+. If you opt for the petrol engine, you can have the MPV in LXi, VXi, VXi AT, ZXi, ZXi AT and ZXi+. For those who want the diesel engine under the hood, you can choose one out of the four variants – LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. Expect Maruti Suzuki to include factory-fitted CNG options with the aforementioned, petrol-powered variants.

The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be offered in five shades for exterior paint – Pearl Metallic Auburn Red, Metallic Magma Grey, Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue, Pearl Arctic White and Metallic Silky Silver. The interiors of the MPV will feature a dual-tone treatment, similar to what we’ve seen on the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.

The outgoing iteration of the Ertiga is priced between Rs 6.34-10.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Expect the new one to carry a slight premium over its predecessor. In India, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will compete with the Mahindra Marazzo and the Renault Lodgy.
