Saar: It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 252PS/370Nm.

Behold! The petrol-powered Audi Q5 has finally landed in India. It wears the 45 TFSI tag at the rear and is available in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology. While the former is priced at Rs 55.27 lakh, the latter will cost you Rs 59.79 lakh (both prices ex-showroom India). Prior to this, the Audi Q5 was available in India only with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 190PS/400Nm. That is otherwise known to wear the 35 TDI tag.

Anyway, back to the Audi Q5 45 TFSI. The main highlight is, of course, the engine. It is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mill that puts out 252PS of power and 370Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and power is routed to the road via Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. The setup is enough for SUV to complete the 0-100kmph sprint in 6.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 237kmph. It is worth noting that this engine comes as is from the Q5’s elder sibling, the Q7. However, in the Q7 this engine comes coupled to an 8-speed automatic. Needless to say, the heavier Q7 is a bit slower to complete the 0-100kmph sprint (6.9 seconds) and has a lower top speed too (233kmph).

What about the features? Well, as you can see there is a noticeable difference between the prices of the two Audi Q5 45 TFSI variants. The more expensive of the two gets features like memory function for the driver’s seat and for the ORVMs, Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI navigation plus, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a 180-watt, 10-speaker sound system and wireless mobile phone charging. Other features which are standard on both variants include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, panoramic glass roof, three-zone climate control and cruise control with speed limiter.
